A market-leading supplier of structural building materials is seeking an ambitious and experienced Business Development Manager to cover London and the South East. This is a key role focused on driving sales of construction components particularly lintels, structural supports, and associated materials into merchant networks, contractors, developers, and specifiers.

The Role
  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy targeting builders merchants, developers, and contractors.
  • Identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with buyers, branch managers, site managers, and specifiers.
  • Promote a range of structural building products with technical support as needed.
  • Deliver product presentations, attend site visits, and provide tailored solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and provide feedback to the leadership team.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience in field sales or business development within the construction, building materials, or merchant sector.
  • Knowledge of structural products such as lintels, masonry support, or general heavyside materials is highly desirable.
  • Confident, self-motivated, and target-driven.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Based within easy reach of London and willing to travel across the region.
  • Full UK driving licence.
