A leading managed network solutions provider in the UK is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business in the telecommunications sector. Candidates should have a strong background in SD-WAN solutions, excellent presentation skills, and a proven track record in sales. An ability to build lasting relationships and work independently is essential. This full-time role involves national travel to engage with clients and deliver tailored solutions.

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Business Development Manager / Sales Development Manager specifically in the Networking / Telecommunications sector. Working for our clients leading Managed Network Solutions provider here you will be responsible for generating new business being a trusted advisor to old and new customers selling the benefits of the SD-WAN technology & other connectivity components included in the managed solution. Solutions are to include SD WAN Networks Business Grade Connectivity GDPR Compliant Guest Wi-Fi Network Security and much more. We are looking for candidates with previous success in selling such solutions and driving growth by identifying nurturing and closing opportunities for the managed network solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry extensive experience in business development and a proven track record of success in a field-based role.
Sales Strategy and Planning : Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to meet and exceed sales targets.
Market Analysis : Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers understand their needs and stay abreast of industry trends in a competitive landscape. Tailoring this to the sectors which we primarily focus on.
Lead Generation and Qualification : Generate and qualify leads through various channels including networking referrals and attending industry events.
Client Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within target accounts. Understand their business challenges and position our managed solutions effectively.
Solution Presentation : Conduct compelling presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of our SD-WAN technology coupled with the other components of our managed solution.
Proposal Development : Prepare and deliver detailed proposals including pricing technical specifications and implementation plans tailored to the clients specific requirements.
Negotiation and Closing : Lead negotiations and contract discussions to close deals successfully. Ensure alignment with company policies and profitability goals.
Post-Sales Support : Collaborate with the implementation and support teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to deployment providing ongoing support and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Reporting and Forecasting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities pipeline status revenue forecasts and GP contribution using CRM tools. Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and market insights.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with the marketing product development and customer support teams to align business development efforts with overall company objectives and customer needs.
