Were searching for a dedicated and driven sales professional to help drive the regional growth for one of the UKs premium valve and fitting companies. Our client continues to grow year on year, offering a wealth of experience and premium services to their customer base, that includes many blue chips across the UK and Ireland. Thanks to their continued success, theyre expanding their sales team with a number of regional Business Development roles to drive further growth across key regions throughout the UK&I.

Up to 42K salary + £10K OTE commission (uncapped) | Car allowance | Profit share & healthcare options

As a Business Development Manager, your focus is on taking ownership of your region, spending time in the field, face-to-face with clients, developing relationships with both new and existing accounts, to ultimately drive sales growth. This is a home based role, with Mondays and Fridays dedicated to weekly planning and administration. Tuesday Thursday youll be out in the field, visiting existing clients and prospects (15 visits per week).

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Schedule and complete 15 face-to-face visits per week to customers and prospects within your region
  • Research your customer and prospect base, as well as wider market trends, to identify new ways of reaching existing markets as well as closing new business
  • Use effective questioning and take the time to truly understand the needs and problems of your customers, in order to present company products correctly, as a solution to their problems
  • Accurately record all visit reports and project progress to the company CRM system, as well as providing regular updates to your Sales Director
  • Become a product expert in all company products, keeping up to date with competitor offerings
  • Develop an actionable business plan to achieve sales target and personal KPIs
  • Create effective long term relationships with your customers to continually generate repeat business

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable sales experience of managing client accounts
  • Ability to organise, set priorities and effectively manage your own time
  • Good commercial awareness, with an aptitude for keeping up to date with industry trends
  • Ability to close sales, both in new business and by growing the value of existing accounts
  • Proficient computer skills in order to accurately plan and track project progress on CRM systems
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective customer relationships
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Mechanical/technical qualification is ideal (not necessary) but you must show some kind of mechanical aptitude

  • Basic salary up to 42K DOE
  • 10k OTE commission (based on sales orders received)
  • Additional bonus per £1M sales generated (uncapped)
