Business Development Manager - Waste Services

Location: Durham (Depot/Home/Field-Based)

Salary: Upto 35k + car/car allowance + Bonus

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday

About the Role

Our client is the UK's leading service provider in their sector, and they are growing fast. They are looking for driven, resilient, and commercially astute Business Development Managers to support their growth.

As a Business Development Manager you’ll be part of a dynamic new business sales team. You’ll be responsible for identifying and securing contracts with local businesses.

  • 100% new business development
  • Cold calling, door knocking, and lead generation
  • Managing your pipeline and CRM with precision
  • Reviewing existing contracts and negotiating improved terms
  • Selling the value of our client's service – not just the bin
  • Once a client is onboarded, they’re handed over to the corporate team so that you can focus on winning new business
What We're Looking For

Different backgrounds will be considered – what matters is attitude and ability. You might be:

  • A telesales or recruitment consultant ready to step into a field-based role
  • Someone with experience selling merchant services, PayPal, or card machines
  • Or simply a natural salesperson who builds rapport and gets results

Essential qualities:

  • Confidence and resilience to cold call and knock on doors
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline and CRM effectively
  • A self-starter who knows their patch and gets stuck in
Benefits Package
  • Salary – circa £30,000
  • Car/Car Allowance – £400 per month
  • Pension – 6% employer contribution / 4% employee
  • Death in Service – 2x annual salary
  • Holidays – 25 days plus bank holidays
