Overview

Global Fire and Security Systems, Nottingham NG2. Full Time On site – £DOE. Global Fire and Security Systems is an independent company established in Nottingham since 1999 and a market leader in providing quality product solutions throughout the fire and security marketplace nationwide. The company is renowned for its design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire safety, fire suppression and security systems. We are seeking to appoint a Business Analyst to be based at our Head Office in Nottingham, at the NG2 Business Park.

Job purpose

The Business Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and improving service performance (Customer Service and Field Service). They act as a bridge between the operational teams and Service leadership, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, meet agreed service levels, and continuously improve based on data-driven insights.

Responsibilities
  • Track and report on service performance against SLAs and KPIs.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement using service data.
  • Produce regular dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
  • Develop custom reports and queries for service operations.
  • Provide actionable insights based on service data analysis.
  • Support root cause analysis and problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to reduce recurring incidents.
  • Ensure proper documentation and closure of incidents/problems.
  • Stakeholder engagement – liaise with the business and leadership to understand service requirements.
  • Communicate service performance and improvement plans.
  • Act as a point of contact for service data related queries.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and support automation and digital transformation efforts.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and maintain service documentation.
  • Support onboarding and training of service teams.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with suite of reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to interpret data and present insights clearly.
  • Qualifications: IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in a service delivery or support environment.
  • Data analysis certification (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or equivalent) – useful for reporting and insights.
