Building Technician

Location: Ashford
Salary: £14.93 p/h
Temporary - On going

Are you an experienced Building Technician looking for a role where every day brings new challenges and real impact? Our client, a respected organisation within the healthcare sector, is seeking a reliable and skilled professional to support building maintenance across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver building fabric maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works
  • Work safely in hazardous areas and follow strict safety procedures
  • Maintain fire doors, windows, locks, roofing, flooring, and drainage systems
  • Liaise with management, contractors, and internal teams
  • Use CAFM systems to update job progress and documentation
  • Assist with emergency repairs as required
  • Guide apprentices and junior team members
  • Engage in regular technical and safety training
  • Work within a shift and on-call rota (24/7 service environment)
  • Travel to additional sites as needed (full driving licence required)
About You
  • Qualification in a building fabric discipline
  • Knowledge of joinery, roofing, flooring, drainage, and basic locksmithing
  • Strong understanding of compliance, safety, and maintenance procedures
  • Confident using digital systems and completing technical reports
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work independently and manage a varied workload
  • Adaptable, proactive, and solution-focused
  • Awareness of asbestos, COSHH and legionella (essential)
Additional Requirements

This role is within a healthcare environment. A current and valid ENHANCED DBS is required.
