Qualifications

Location: Mobile - 1 in North (Manchester based), 1 in South (London based) - flexibility in location will be considered

Salary: £58,000 per annum

Working Hours: 8 - 5 Monday to Friday

Role Overview

Completion of asset surveys and supporting documentation to assess plant and fabric condition across the BBC estate. These reports will inform the asset database for condition assessments and also identify remedial works and projects for submission to the Client. These surveys will inform the Life Cycle Asset Management Model, the Capital Plan and any Business Focussed Maintenance approaches.

What you'll do
  • Responsible for conducting asset and building condition surveys across the BBC estate in line with Asset Data Standards and Asset Change Processes
  • Completion of portfolio of documentation detailing condition of assets and buildings and identify any remedial work
  • Production of costed reports for surveys carried out on the Client portfolio
  • Stakeholder Management ensuring all persons are fully briefed on surveying outcomes.
About the role
Who you'll be
  • Industry recognised trade apprenticeship or relevant experience in a Building Services/Construction discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years asset surveying experience.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Proven experience within a building service environment
  • The ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety and operational performance
  • Must be self‑motivated, a team player and have an adaptable/flexible approach
  • Articulate, numerate and IT literate
  • Have good people management, leadership, decision making and communication skills.
  • Must be resilient under pressure and be able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers and customers at all levels
  • Must have a full driving licence and willing to travel Nationwide
  • RICS qualification – Desirable
Other relevant factors
  • Must hold or be working towards an ONC or similar in Building studies or surveying relevant accreditations and appointments to support deliverables
  • Must be able to obtain and retain MoD SC security clearance
  • Hold a Full UK driving License
  • Good IT literacy including an understanding of MS SharePoint®
  • Have held either an MoD Confined Spaces or Working at Height authorised person appointment
  • Hold a CSCS or similar construction safety qualification
  • Must satisfy any reasonable request from Management
