Job summary

A housing association in Cardiff seeks an Interim Building Surveyor to oversee capital works and property maintenance. Interim Building Surveyor - Housing Association

Location: Cardiff and surrounding areas

Rate: £350 - £450 per day (Umbrella / PAYE options available)

Contract Length: 3-6 months (with potential extension)

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing planned capital works, property repairs and maintenance programmes.
  • Managing and assessing disrepair claims in line with legislative and policy frameworks.
  • Conducting detailed damp and mould inspections, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective remedial action.
  • Applying HHSRS
About You
  • Proven experience working within a Housing Association or Local Authority environment.
  • Strong technical competence in building pathology, maintenance, and project management.
  • In-depth understanding of housing compliance and tenant safety.
  • HHSRS Certification (mandatory).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
