Planned Investment Building Surveyor – London-based Housing Association

£27 PAYE - £34 Umbrella / Deemed LTD (Inside IR35)
35 Hours per week
Ongoing Contract

Service Care Solutions are currently working with a Housing Association in London to recruit a Planned Investment Building Surveyor to support the delivery of capital investment works, focusing on external cyclical repairs and kitchen & bathroom renewals.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high quality, with a strong focus on resident satisfaction and health and safety compliance. The role is site-based, requiring regular inspections, risk identification, progress management, and customer issue resolution.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee delivery of planned works across external and internal refurbishments (ECR, kitchens, bathrooms).
  • Conduct technical surveys pre-, during, and post-works using Viewpoint and Fieldview software.
  • Manage contractors, monitor works progress, and maintain regular site attendance.
  • Resolve resident queries and complaints efficiently, maintaining a customer-focused approach.
  • Collaborate with consultants and internal teams to ensure accurate cost tracking from estimate to final account.
  • Produce technical reports and ensure works meet NHG’s standards.
Requirements:
  • HNC / HND / Degree in Building Surveying, Construction, or related discipline OR significant hands-on experience in building/construction.
  • Strong project management background, especially with capital investment / cyclical maintenance schemes.
  • Proficiency with contract administration and employer’s requirements documentation.
  • Confident with IT systems including MS Office, Viewpoint, and Fieldview.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service approach.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
  • Membership with RICS or CIOB.
  • Degree in Building Surveying or Construction Management.
