Job summary

A leading building services consultancy is seeking a high-end intermediate/senior design engineer to join their London team. The role involves delivering effective mechanical designs across various projects, including commercial and residential sectors. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of building services design experience in the UK and be HND qualified. The position requires proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant software, strong project management skills, and the capacity to mentor junior engineers, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and QA protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' UK building services design experience.
• Demonstrable UK building services background.
• Appropriate membership of a professional body (CIBSE, IMECHE, IET).

Responsibilities

• Preparing AutoCAD drawings and design calculations.
• Assisting in preparing feasibility studies and design reports.
• Attending site surveys and client meetings.
• Mentoring and assisting the graduate engineers.
• Mentoring graduate engineers.

Skills

Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD packages such as AutoCAD

Experience with Revit MEP or Bentley AECOsim

Understanding of BIM Level 2

Education

Minimum of HND level qualification

CEng qualification or working towards it

Tools

IES modelling software
