Job summary

A leading engineering solution provider is seeking a Building Services Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team. This hybrid role combines office and site work in Glasgow. The successful candidate will have extensive HVAC design experience and be responsible for ensuring engineering design substantiation meets all necessary safety and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of legislative standards and the ability to produce technical documentation are essential for this position.

Building Services Engineer

Responsibilities

The Building Services Engineer will work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Building Services, Electrical and Pipingestos). The team is responsible for authoring, developing, assessing and maintaining Engineering Design Substantiation for the facility, ensuring Design Intent, Critical Safety Factors, and safety and operational requirements are met and are consistent with current best practice and legislative and regulatory requirements.

What We Need
  • Building services design experience in the HVAC discipline and supporting systems (LTHW, fire dampers, etc.).
  • Ability to illustrate and analyse psychrometric properties of air to demonstrate the psychrometric process of HVAC design and its impact on the internal environment.
  • Knowledge of key legislation and standards applicable to the built environment and building services design>}
  • Familiarity with recognised industry technical guidance such as Cાપ્રો and ASHRAE standards.
  • Experience producing written technical reports (preferably for design substantiation_pbased engineered safety measures within a high hazard industry).
  • Experience authoring and producing robust technical justification and supporting documentation to allow for relevant design modifications to wi ria authorise within a high hazard industry.
  • Experience working on multi‑discipline projects providing engineering input, ideally within industrial 重庆时时 maritime contexts.
Location

The role is hybrid; 3 days per week will be spent either in the Glasgow City Centre office or at the Helensburgh site. Own transport is essential.
