Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, 35 hours per week
Salary: £55,270 - £66,000 dependant on experience. Plus essential car user allowance of £1,300 per annum

Reporting Office: London, Stratford
Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working). (home office and site combined)

Join our Building Safety Team at L&Q. L&Q is developing its Operational Building Safety Team within the Property and Investment Directorate. This role opens the opportunity to join as Building Safety Manager. The role will require close collaboration with the Lead Building Safety Managers, Head of Service, and Director of Building Compliance, alongside the Strategic Building Safety Team. You will also be the line manager for a small team of Assistant Building Safety Managers.
You will be responsible for monitoring and managing Building Safety for buildings within your allocated remit (number of buildings to be defined). You will ensure that the buildings are safe to occupy by undertaking duties and building safety measures as required by the Building Safety Act, to ensure our buildings are safe and secure for residents.
The duties will include, assisting in the production of the Building Safety Case Report for submission to obtain the Building Assessment Certificate for each allocated building. Along with operational duties to maintain the building safety position through review of maintenance and testing activities, risk assessment, review of fire safety arrangements and structural matters.
The role will include procurement of specialist services along with control and management of key building safety data. You will ensure all L&Q procurement processes and standing order rules are followed, whilst having a strong working knowledge of L&Q Housing Management, Financial, Compliance Management, and record keeping systems.
Candidates will have expert knowledge in building safety, including the operational maintenance of key active fire systems along with other building specific M&E systems and arrangements.
You must be a first-class communicator with experience working with a variety of stakeholders including residents and resident groups and committees, Corporate Health and Safety, Housing Management teams, and other Property Services teams.
