Job summary

Building Management System Technician

Closing date: 10 December 2025

Working within a multi-skilled team of Estates personnel, working to an agreed framework of planned maintenance and agreed response times to reactive works. Ensuring that legislative compliance is adhered to at all times to ensure that the building is a safe environment for patients, staff and relatives.

Main Duties of the Job

Responsible for the cost-efficient operation of the building's environment-control systems resulting in optimized building and equipment operation, energy utilisation, indoor air quality and comfort. Support the Senior Management Team in the safe operation and maintenance of all plant and equipment within the Hospital estates. Supports the building operations through installation, commissioning, programming, operation, troubleshooting and repair of the environmental-control systems. Monitors the BMS to include HVAC and Water systems throughout.

  • Relevant qualification in BMS/ automated controls related subject for Schneider control system
  • Recognised City & Guilds or NVQ 3 apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering Maintenance
