Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly Central Building Control Partnership team as one of ourTechnical Support Officers.

Local authority building control is responsible for ensuring building work relating to low rise/risk buildings complies with national standards, and buildings remain safe.Councils are also the repository for competent person scheme (CPS) notifications, and notices from our competitors.

Employed by Lichfield District Council, and operating within our ISO 9001 quality management system, you would be the first point of contact with customers, dealing with non-compliance enquiries over the telephone or email, booking site inspections, registering Building Regulation applications, CPS notifications and Initial Notices, taking payments, and sending key documents and notices to dutyholders.
