Overview

Personal Assistant (1:1 Support) – Location: Boston Spa / North Leeds. Hours: 40 hours per week (daytime). We are also looking for staff for 2:1 support and can be flexible on hours as we build a strong, reliable team. If you are looking for fewer hours, please get in touch. Pay: £15.69 per hour (day rate); £12.21 sleep rate.

About the job

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable person to support a young female adult with complex needs. This is a rewarding role where you’ll help her enjoy her day, stay safe, and take part in fun activities at home and in the community.

What you’ll do
  • Support at home and out and about.
  • Take her to group activities, cafés, walks, farms, trains, swimming, music events, boat trips, and other outings.
  • Help with meals and drinks, following dysphagia-safe eating and drinking plans (training given).
  • Support with personal care.
  • Follow care plans carefully (including medication and safety plans).
  • Stay calm and reassuring during any moments of distress.
  • Drive to activities (Motability car).
What we need from you
  • Kind, patient and reliable.
  • Upbeat, positive and keen to make a difference.
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, or health needs (paid or unpaid).
  • Awareness of dysphagia or willingness to learn.
  • Willing to follow clear instructions and keep good records.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willing to get one).
  • Full UK driving licence.
Hours

40 daytime hours a week (2 days & overnight option). Day rate £15.69. Overnight sleep rate £12.21 per hour. Option also of hours as 2:1 for when this young lady needs 2:1 staff.
