Breakfast Chef - Daytimes only

Select Recruitment are seeking an experienced Breakfast Chef on behalf of our client to create outstanding morning meals that exceed expectations. Whether it's beautifully poached eggs or perfectly prepared bacon rolls, you'll ensure every breakfast is delivered to the highest standard.

This role offers evenings free and suits an early bird, with shift times starting at 6am on weekdays and 7am at weekends. You'll need comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and prepare high-quality dishes to order, maintaining consistency with established menu standards
  • Oversee morning kitchen operations, encompassing stock management, supplier deliveries, and food production workflows
  • Supervise and develop kitchen team members, creating a positive and cooperative working environment
  • Maintain strict adherence to food hygiene regulations and uphold excellent kitchen cleanliness standards
  • Contribute to menu design and innovation, utilising seasonal produce and contemporary culinary approaches
  • Oversee food quality and presentation, guaranteeing excellence and consistency in every plate
  • Work closely with service staff to deliver smooth operations during peak trading times
  • Address kitchen challenges or unexpected situations efficiently and professionally
Essential Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience working as a Chef or equivalent position within the hospitality sector
  • Solid culinary expertise with comprehensive knowledge of food preparation methods and kitchen management
  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven team supervision experience
  • Understanding of food safety legislation and industry best practices
  • Capacity to perform effectively in high-pressure environments while upholding quality standards
  • Innovative approach with ability to contribute fresh ideas to menu creation
  • Effective communication abilities to successfully manage teams and coordinate with other departments
