Job summary

A recruitment agency is looking for a Bridging Underwriter to join a growing underwriting function in London. The role involves assessing and underwriting bridging loan applications, managing cases from enquiry to drawdown, and liaising with stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Analyse borrower profiles, property security, exit strategies and supporting documentation.
  • Review valuation reports, legal due diligence and professional advice.
  • Prepare clear credit recommendations and underwriting rationales.
  • Manage cases end-to-end from enquiry to drawdown.
  • Liaise regularly with brokers, solicitors, valuers and internal teams.

This is a hands‑on role where you will manage cases from initial application through to completion, working closely with brokers, solicitors, valuers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
  • Assess and underwrite bridging loan applications in line with internal credit policy
  • Analyse borrower profiles, property security, exit strategies and supporting documentation
  • Review valuation reports, legal due diligence and professional advice
  • Prepare clear credit recommendations and underwriting rationales
  • Manage cases end‑to‑end from enquiry to drawdown
  • Liaise regularly with brokers, solicitors, valuers and internal teams to progress transactions
  • Maintain accurate case records and support service‑level delivery
