LKQ in the United Kingdom is seeking a Duty Manager to lead our branch operations across retail, warehouse and fleet. You will drive customer service, ensure safety and compliance, and coach a multi-skilled team to deliver strong performance.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will manage stock, logistics and operational processes while maintaining high standards and a collaborative culture. The role offers growth within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in retail, warehouse, logistics or distribution.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience managing KPIs and operational performance.
• Customer-focused mindset with drive to deliver outstanding service.
• Good knowledge of stock control and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the branch across retail, warehouse and fleet functions.
• Co-ordinate resources to ensure smooth, efficient operations and excellent customer service.
• Drive operational excellence by maintaining company standards, policies and procedures.
• Manage stock accuracy, inventory control and stock take activities.
• Ensure pick-to-manifest targets and customer service SLAs are met.
• Oversee returns, warranties and reverse logistics processes.
• Support Click & Collect and delivery operations.
• Ensure fleet compliance, vehicle readiness and operational efficiency.
• Coach, motivate and develop colleagues across all operational areas.
• Conduct engaging daily team briefings and performance conversations.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and succession planning.
• Create a positive, inclusive, customer-focused culture.
• Build a flexible, multi-skilled team capable of delivering exceptional results.
• Champion a customer-first culture and resolve queries professionally.
• Work with sales and operations to maximise customer opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of branch presentation and operational excellence.
• Monitor costs, payroll and productivity; manage cash handling and stock controls.
• Use KPIs and data to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to branch growth through operational excellence and commercial awareness.
