Main duties of the job

The role of a Brain Injury Support Worker involves providing compassionate, dedicated, and reliable support to a young man with complex needs. The support worker will assist with daily living activities, administer medication, monitor health conditions, accompany the client in the community, provide emotional support, and collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care. The role requires experience in a similar position, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn about the client's specific needs, such as Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Dysphagia, and/or Epilepsy.

Job responsibilities
  • Deliver personalized care and support to our client
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions.
  • Accompany client in the community on 2:1 ratio.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Job details
  • Location: Enfield, Hertfordshire
  • Hours: Days (10:00 - 15:00)
  • Pay: £16.25 per hour weekdays; £18.25 per hour night shifts & Saturday day shift.

This rewarding role requires someone who can offer flexible support and make a positive difference in his life with daily activities, promoting independence and ensuring his physical and emotional wellbeing.

As her support worker you will support this client both within a busy home and a community setting, helping her to lead a fulfilling life and achieve her personal goals, your role will be diverse.

Due to the location of the role you must have a full UK driving licence.
