RECfinancial have been engaged by a local SME, a leading UK provider in their field, have a fantastic opportunity for a Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team on a part‑time basis.

Due to the office’s location the role is perfectly commutable from Leicester, Leicestershire, Nuneaton, Tamworth, Ashby De La Zouch and Coalville.

This role is perfect for someone with strong numerical ability, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach who is looking to further their career in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers
  • Credit Control
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Assisting with VAT returns and staff expenses
  • Supporting payroll processing
  • Assisting with monthly financial reporting
  • General administration and finance related queries
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes
  • Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Organised, deadline‑driven, and proactive
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Desirable
  • AAT qualification (or working towards it) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in credit control and debt management
  • Knowledge of VAT regulations and payroll processing
