Job summary

A growing accountancy practice in Redditch is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Payroll Executive to support clients with bookkeeping and payroll duties. The ideal candidate will be experienced in processing payrolls, managing bookkeeping, and using cloud accounting software. AAT qualification is preferred, and a salary of £26,000 - £29,000 per annum is offered. This role is office-based with potential part-time hours.

Overview

Bookkeeper/ Payroll Executive — Redditch – office based

£26,000 - £29,000 per annum depending on your previous skills and experience. Part time hours may be considered.

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper or Payroll professional looking to join a friendly and growing accountancy practice in Redditch? We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented team member to support our clients with bookkeeping, payroll, and general accounting duties.

Responsibilities
  • Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls
  • Managing client bookkeeping using cloud software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
  • VAT return preparation and submissions
  • Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining ledgers
  • Liaising with clients and HMRC on payroll and bookkeeping matters
Qualifications

The successful Bookkeeper and Payroller will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experienced in bookkeeping and payroll within an accountancy practice would be a distinct advantage.
  • Confident using cloud accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
  • Organised with great attention to detail
  • A good communicator who enjoys client interaction
  • AAT qualified or equivalent (qualified by experience will be considered)
