Overview

Role - Blast and Paint Supervisor
Location - Based close to Thetford, Norfolk
Working hours - Monday to Friday - Full time hours
Capacity of role - Permanent position
Salary - £34,000 - £36,000 per annum

Our client is an established and well respected organisation who is currently recruiting for a blast and paint supervisor to support their workshop team.

Main duties
  • Promotion of Safety awareness and establish safe work practices
  • Instruct employees on these safe work practices and correct any unsafe working conditions
  • Ensure all equipment including PPE is maintained in good working order and removal of defective equipment
  • Participate in Job Hazard Assessments
  • Responsible for the overall health and safety of co-workers
  • Be diligent in managing personal behavior in compliance with HSQE requirements
  • To work under the instructions of Management and the Client
  • Work at all times within the parameters of the approved project planning and specification
  • Maintain effective communications with relevant parties at all times
  • Be aware of all hazards associated with the coating equipment
  • Ordering of paint/equipment for workshop
Candidate attributes
  • 5 years' experience and ICAT's or Train the Painter qualifications would be preferable
  • Supervisory experience
  • Overhead crane trained
  • Blasting and paint application experience
  • Factory based experience with broad product knowledge
  • Experience of different application methods
