Overview

ELECTRICAL BUILDING SERVICES ENGINEER | BIM Technician - Building Services (Revit MEP)

Location: St. Albans

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

An award-winning and forward-thinking building services consultancy is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Revit MEP Technician to join their expanding BIM team. About the Role

As a BIM Technician, you'll collaborate closely with engineers and BIM specialists to develop accurate and coordinated 3D Revit MEP models and supporting 2D documentation across RIBA Work Stages 1-5.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage Revit MEP models for mechanical ventilation, heating, and cooling systems


• Domestic water and drainage systems


• Electrical containment and distribution


• Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural layouts


• Generate detailed 2D drawings, schematics, and Revit schedules


• Manage COBie data integration and model parameters


• Build and modify Revit families and system components


• Contribute to model automation and data workflows using Dynamo


• Maintain compliance with internal BIM/CAD standards and document protocols

Qualifications

• Must have the right to work in the UK (British citizenship or valid work visa)


• Relevant technical qualification (degree or diploma in Building Services Engineering or similar)


• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Revit MEP in a building services environment

Desirable Skills (Training Available)

• Navisworks or Revizto for clash detection


• Understanding of COBie data requirements


• Familiarity with ISO 19650 and BIM Level 2 standards


• Basic Dynamo scripting knowledge
