Overview

Job title: BIM Coordinator. Contract type: Permanent contract. Location: London, United Kingdom. Inhabit is an innovative consulting group focused on specialist engineering services with offices in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Europe. We partner with architects, builders and regulatory authorities to develop sustainable, built environments.

Responsibilities
  • The BIM Coordinator forms part of the engineering team within the global structure of the company and contributes to the growth of BIM capabilities.
  • Responsible for all design, engineering, documentation, administration and compliance with project constraints undertaken for Façade and all other disciplines.
  • Coordinate BIM project data sets, workflows and project setup; manage technical delivery of BIM data and ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plan and project workflow criteria.
  • Print drawing sets for the professional team; participate in discipline reviews; create federated models and conduct clash-detection/resolution; lead BIM coordination meetings.
  • Export DWF and other formats for internal and external collaboration; review work completed by modelers; maintain project content and source additional content as needed.
  • Liaise with the Design Systems team to communicate procedure and standard changes to project teams; ensure alignment with BIM standards across projects.
  • Provide technical support for BIM-enabled software to project teams and leverage BIM tools to coordinate design documentation; prioritize work to meet project deadlines.
  • Coordinate with project leads and inter-department teammates to ensure task delivery; evaluate deliverables time and resource needs with project leads.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Normally 5+ years of experience with a Diploma/Degree in Engineering.
  • Expertise in Revit and Navisworks.
  • Proven ability to present innovative workflows to clients and other consultants; build relationships with design team members.
  • Thorough knowledge of BIM procedures and standards; able to deliver BIM coordination and technical management of project BIM data.
  • Experience with BIM content standards, reference content acquisition, and model review/documentation.
  • Experience in clash detection/resolution, BIM model review, and coordination meetings.
  • Ability to export models in DWF and other formats; ability to support BIM-enabled software applications.
  • Adherence to BIM Execution Plans and project workflows; ability to manage content and ensure project data integrity.
  • Ability to work with project teams to ensure timely delivery of BIM-related tasks.
