Are you ready to step into a leadership role that truly makes a difference? Buckingham Futures is recruiting for a Private Sector Housing Team Leader, Damp & Mould Specialist in West London.

About the Role
  • Lead investigations into poor housing conditions and HMO complaints
  • Manage a team of up to 4 staff and oversee budgets of £150K–£300K
  • Conduct complex property surveys (HHSRS) and implement enforcement actions, including statutory notices, prosecutions, and court proceedings
  • Specialise in damp & mould remediation, energy efficiency compliance, empty property reuse, HMO licensing, and civil penalties
Leadership & Development
  • Mentor and supervise new staff, apprentices, and contract workers
  • Lead landlord and tenant events, as well as team training programmes
  • Work closely with senior leadership to support service design and improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
  • People-focused leader with creativity, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment
  • Experience with Housing Act 2004, HHSRS assessments, HMO regulations, and environmental health functions
  • Ability to conduct PACE interviews, prepare court cases, and hold professional qualifications (CIEH, CIOB, RICS etc.)
