Behaviour Mentor - Primary School
Location: Romford, Havering

A welcoming primary school in Romford is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs. This role is ideal for someone with experience in behaviour support, youth work or SEMH settings who wants to make a genuine impact.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural challenges.
  • Implement behaviour plans and strategies to encourage positive choices.
  • Support pupils both in lessons and during unstructured times.
  • Work with teachers, parents and professionals to ensure consistent support.
  • Help pupils build resilience, confidence and positive relationships.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH or challenging behaviour.
  • Strong communication, patience and a calm approach.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • Relevant training (e.g. Team Teach, MAPA) is desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
