Behaviour Mentor - Secondary Schools (Croydon)
Full-time 5 days per week
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to work full-time across a range of secondary schools in Croydon. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people to overcome behavioural, emotional, and social challenges and reach their full potential.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural support, helping them to engage positively with learning and school life. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and personal development, both in and out of the classroom.
Provide 1:1 and small group behavioural support to students
Support students with emotional regulation, social skills, and engagement
Implement behaviour strategies in line with school policies
Build strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, and families
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
Act as a positive role model and mentor within the school community
Inclusive and supportive secondary school environments
Strong pastoral and leadership teams
A clear commitment to staff development and wellbeing
Excellent opportunities for career progression within education, SEN, and pastoral roles
Experience working with young people (education, youth work, mentoring, SEN, or similar)
A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour management
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Passion for supporting vulnerable or challenging students
Ability to commit full‑time, 5 days per week
Full‑time, consistent work (Monday‑Friday)
