Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience of working as part of the Admin team in a Health Care Setting.
  • Knowledge of Health Care systems and importance of information governance.
  • Previous experience in a customer facing administrative role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive confidential administrative services to the management and clinical team.
  • Be a point of contact for the sexual health team and external agencies.
  • Undertake safeguarding training appropriate to the role.

Job Summary

Working within Barnsley Integrated Sexual Health Service the Senior Administration.Assistant will provide comprehensive high quality, confidential, administrative, andclerical services to the senior management and clinical team.To be a point of contact for the sexual health team and external agencies.The post holder will be working a flexible shift pattern (including Saturdays andevenings) and may include covering duties of colleagues in their absence i.e., annualleave, sickness, possibly at short notice

Main duties of the job

The post involves a range of duties requiring good communication skills, an ability to work autonomously or as part of a busy team, an awareness of customer care and a flexible, adaptable, and non-judgemental attitude. The post holder will be expected to undertake safeguarding training (Children and Adults) appropriate to their role and adhere to policies and procedures relevant to the area they work in and demonstrate commitment to the principles of Equality & Diversity and all Spectrum Values.

Qualifications
Essential
  • Min 3 GCSE's including English Language, Maths, and IT skills GCSE or equivalent.
  • IT qualification e.g., ECDL or equivalent.
  • NVQ 2/3 in business administration/customer care, or equivalent experience.

Essential
  • Knowledge of Health Care systems Recognise the importance of information governance, Confidentiality and safe storage of information
  • Knowledge of working in a busy office environment A good understanding of patient confidentiality (GDPR)
  • Previous experience in a customer facing administrative role.
