Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a compassionate Project Worker to support clients in a supported living environment. The role involves assessing client needs, managing finances, and fostering social inclusion. Ideal candidates will have experience in domestic abuse support and hold an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care.

The role of Project Worker will include:
  • Regularly assessing the needs of clients by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training, and employment.
  • Assisting clients with managing finances and welfare benefits.
  • Encouraging social inclusion and helping clients to build their confidence, resilience, and self-esteem.
  • Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the clients and actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required.
  • Promoting safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments within legislative frameworks.
Skills and experiences:
  • You will have previous experience in a role supporting victims of domestic abuse or a background gained in a supported living environment in a project worker capacity.
  • Sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management.
  • Good understanding of occupancy agreements.
  • The ability to react effectively under pressure.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and source innovative solutions to problems.
  • You will be empathetic and non-judgmental with good interpersonal and customer care skills.
  • NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards, is essential.
