Priory Hospital Chelmsford is looking to recruit a Bank Mental Health Nurse to join the team. Situated within three acres of landscaped grounds, Priory Hospital Chelmsford is an independent hospital that specialises in the treatment and management of adults and adolescents with a range of mental health problems. The hospital offers calming and recovery focused residential treatment for up to 60 service users, as well as day care and outpatient services, including separate facilities for young people. The hospital incorporates a Grade II listed building and is supported by a highly experienced multidisciplinary team delivering personalised treatment programmes and a range of therapies.
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients’ wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Bank Mental Health Nurse, you will play a key part in patients’ recovery by assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients. Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration, 6 to 12 months of post-registration experience, and completion of a preceptorship programme. They will have knowledge of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional practices, along with evidence of ongoing post-registration continuing professional development. The candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, a commitment to change, improvement, and quality, and the ability to develop and apply flexible, innovative approaches to practice. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, supported by at least six months of post-registration experience within a mental health or learning disabilities care environment and evidence of continued professional development in the relevant field.
