Overview

Sulis Hospital Bath has an opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Bank team. Sulis Hospital is a pioneer in patient care and experience, and we are looking for a semiskilled individual to join the bank team. The role is bank-based with various shifts and requires DBS clearance.

Role & Responsibilities

The individual will be working as part of a team to deliver planned preventative maintenance on all aspects of equipment throughout the hospital. The tasks include:

  • Servicing air handling units
  • Water safety monitoring
  • Theatre checks
  • Ground works
  • Cleaning plant
  • Building fabric repairs
  • Painting and decorating
  • Assisting the Engineers to fault find and rectify faults

We will provide specialist training, including appointed person status training.

Specification / Qualifications
  • Operate electrical and mechanical plant or equipment
  • Work on own initiative
  • Self-motivated
  • Basis IT skills to operate database and email
  • Adaptable and a team player
  • Willing to learn
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of hospital staff
  • Basic fitting, plumbing, electrical and decorating skills
  • Use and knowledge of hand tools
  • Knowledge and experience of CAFM and BMS Systems (desirable)

Additional: This role requires DBS clearance.
