The NDP Clinical Assistant (Bank) will work within the Neurodevelopmental Pathway Service to support children and young people with Autism, ADHD and related neurodevelopmental needs. The role focuses on assisting clinical colleagues, supporting families pre- and post-diagnosis, and helping to deliver high-quality assessments, interventions and group sessions. The post holder will act as a key link for children and families, ensuring compassionate, effective and timely support across the city.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery and coordination of Autism and ADHD assessments, interventions and support sessions.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping to plan and organise daily clinical activities.
  • Support children and young people during assessments, including those with additional needs or challenging behaviours.
  • Carry out routine clinical measurements such as height, weight and blood pressure (following training).
  • Communicate clearly with families, providing up-to-date information and reassurance.
  • Accurately record clinical data, maintain patient notes and input information into electronic systems.
  • Build relationships with local peer support groups and community services, helping families navigate available support.
  • Participate in service evaluation, feedback collection, and the development of accessible training and information materials.
  • Maintain equipment in line with Trust policy and support administrative tasks such as data collection, correspondence and IT system use.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and escalated concerns to senior staff as required.
