The job involves working as a Bank Healthcare Assistant at Elysium Healthcare's Stanley House service in Ledbury, Herefordshire. The role offers flexibility and control over the shifts worked, with no minimum hours required. As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that works together to provide specialised care and therapeutic interventions for residents with varying needs. This may include assisting with personal care, helping with eating and continence needs, as well as supporting residents to participate in activities and therapies. The role requires a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance to navigate the challenging environment at times.

What you will be doing

You will join the team that works well together to provide care for people with neurological conditions. Whether you are currently a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker, you will utilise your experience to support people to lead a valued and fulfilled life. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldn’t do last week because of you.

The service operates 24/7 with 12.5 hour standard shifts. As a Healthcare Assistant on our bank you’ll be on a zero hour contract, giving you the freedom to choose which shifts you want to work each week.

Where you will be working

Stanley House, led by a multidisciplinary approach to long‑term care provision. You will support residents to undergo reviews of their changing needs. Therapies (Physiotherapy, Art therapy) and monthly specialist GP clinics. Residents need assistance with personal care, eating, continence and end‑of‑life care. Participation in communal activities is encouraged.
