Job summary

A prominent healthcare trust in London seeks motivated Emergency Nurse Practitioners for flexible bank positions in their Emergency Departments. We have exceptional opportunities for motivated Emergency Nurse Practitioner's (ENP) to join our bank team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHT). These roles are based across the St Marys and Charing Cross Hospital sites.

These highly flexible bank positions within the Emergency Departments of St Marys Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital call for dynamic and experienced ENPs to deliver specialised patient care. The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, forward-thinking, and dedicated to promoting equal opportunities and non‑discriminatory practices.

Successful candidates will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, enabling them to support the Ward Manager, Junior Sisters, and the Multidisciplinary Team. They will ensure the provision of patient‑centred care, uphold high standards of care delivery, and manage patients safely and efficiently within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHT).

Main duties of the job
  • To assess, diagnose, treat and discharge or refer patients without reference to a doctor
  • To provide a service that is complementary to GP's
  • To be an independent prescriber (experienced ENP essential)
  • To act as a Link practitioner for a speciality and to disseminate new guidance and information from that speciality keeping colleagues updated
  • To assist in achieving Emergency Department quality indicators by ensuring timely review/transfer/discharge of patients
  • To have expert skills in plastering, suturing, streaming and to teach these skills to juniors
  • To work with the Nurse Consultant and Lead Practitioner in responding to complaints
