Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic pharmacists to join our a friendly, progressive clinical team on bank, serving with Ealing Community Partners at West London NHS Trust. Different shift types will be available including weekdays and weekends.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with good communication skills and a keen interest in mental health who derives satisfaction from providing an outstanding clinical pharmacy service to the service users and from working with colleagues to continue to develop the service. The applicant should be able to work well both in a team and autonomously.

Main duties of the job
  • To support the Lead Pharmacists, integrated care services in the provision of the service.
  • Responsible for managing and delivering comprehensive medicines management advice and information for clinicians, patients and carers.
  • Responsible for ensuring the safe, clinically effective and cost efficient use of medicines.
  • To undertake medicine audits on behalf of the pharmacy team.
  • Provide appropriate training and education for nursing and medical staff with regard to the use of medicines used in psychiatry and other therapeutic areas.
  • Collate activity and outcome data to enhance the evidence base.
  • Responsible for ensuring a comprehensive flexible pharmacy service is provided to clinical teams. This service should be consistent with best practice and in accordance with national guidelines, in order to support and enhance the holistic care of patients.
