Band8a - Locum Oncology Pharmacist- Westcliff- on- Sea

Role: Oncology Pharmacist
Banding: Band 8a
Location: Westcliff- on- Sea
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 09:00am-17:30pm
Rate: £34 - £39 per hour

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 8a Pharmacist to join our oncology team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive oncology pharmacy services, including screening chemotherapy prescriptions. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and effective use of chemotherapy medications and contributing to high-quality patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing oncology pharmacy services and screening chemotherapy prescriptions. You will work closely with the oncology team to ensure the safe administration of chemotherapy, manage medication therapy, and provide expert pharmaceutical advice. Your role will also involve participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, supporting clinical trials, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the oncology department.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hospital experience as a pharmacist.
  • Proven experience in oncology pharmacy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
