Job Title: Locum Paediatric Autism Speech and Language Therapist

Banding: 6/7

Location: Croydon

Start: ASAP

Duration: 3 months

Rate: £28 – £34 per hour

Working hours: Monday – Friday

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Locum Paediatric Autism Speech and Language Therapist to join our client based in Croydon. This role involves working primarily in specialist settings with children diagnosed with autism. If you have a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families, and possess the necessary skills and experience, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for children with autism, focusing on communication skills.
  • Work closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments, deliver therapy sessions, and monitor progress.
  • Provide training and support to families and caregivers to support communication development.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals for holistic care.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Registered Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC.
  • Experience working with children with autism in clinical or educational settings.
  • Strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and evidence-based therapy approaches.
  • Excellent assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience providing training and support to families and caregivers.
  • Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
