Location: Portland

Start: ASAP

Duration: 3 months

Rate: £25 - £32 per hour

Working hours: Monday – Friday

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Dorset. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing essential pharmaceutical services within a prison setting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to inmates, contributing to their overall health and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Dispensing medications
  • Managing pharmaceutical stock
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of patient care
  • Providing advice and support to inmates regarding their medications, ensuring compliance with prescribed treatments
  • Conducting medication reviews
  • Participating in health promotion activities within the prison

Qualifications and Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a prison or similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability
