Role: Locum Pharmacist
Banding: Band 8a
Location: Dundee
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 Months
Hours: Full-time, (Monday to Friday, 09:00AM to 17:30PM)
Rate: £34 – £39 per hour

About the role:

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to join our Medicine/Medicine for the Elderly team. This role involves providing expert pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring the safe and effective use of medication, and working closely with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

You will conduct medication reviews and provide clinical advice to healthcare professionals. You will manage and monitor patient medication regimens. You will ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines. You will educate patients and healthcare staff on medication management. You will participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Requirements

  • Education and Qualifications:
    • Relevant Pharmacy qualification.
    • Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
    • Experience in a clinical pharmacy setting, preferably within medicine or elderly care.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
