General Medicine Pharmacist Locum – Band 8a in Plymouth – £up to £36ph Hourly


If you are a qualified and ambitious General Medicine Pharmacist ready for a fulfilling locum opportunity, this is the position for you! We are looking for a Band 8a General Medicine Pharmacist to join our team in Plymouth for three months, with the potential for full-time engagement. Earn up to £36 per hour while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic hospital setting.

Responsibilities


  • Clinically screen medication charts on the ward, screening discharge prescriptions and one-stop orders

  • Complete medicines reconciliation and address ward-based medication information queries

  • Participate in MDT meetings and conduct ward CD audits

  • Order and manage medicines, collaborating closely with Medicines Optimisation technicians

  • Interpret blood results in relation to medicines to optimise patient care


Qualifications

You should be a registered pharmacist with the GPhC. While hospital experience is beneficial, it is not required if you have been qualified and working for over a year. An interest or experience in frailty, stroke, brain injuries, or rehabilitation and knowledge of polypharmacy and deprescribing will be considered advantages.


Requirements

Driving is necessary for this role, enabling you to efficiently manage tasks within the hospital setting.
