Job description

Job Title: Pharmacist (Medicines Safety Officer)
Banding:Band 8a/8b
Location:Batley, West Yorkshire
Start:ASAP
Duration: 3 – 4 months
Rate: £34.00 – £40.00 per hour
Working hours:3 days per week, mainly remote (occasional on-site visits required)

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Pharmacist to join our client’s team as a Medicines Safety Officer on an interim basis. This Band 8a/8b role offers flexible working hours and is primarily remote, with occasional travel to services across West Yorkshire for training or service visits.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the organisation in a range of medicines safety functions, including policy writing, incident investigation, training delivery, and interpreting medication safety data. You will contribute to the development and implementation of medicines safety strategies, promote a culture of continuous improvement, and provide expert advice to clinical teams. The role is adaptable to the strengths of the successful candidate, allowing for a focus on specific areas such as governance, education, or data analysis.

Qualifications and Experience:

• GPhC registration as a Pharmacist
• NHS experience is essential
• Experience in medicines safety, governance, or clinical pharmacy
• Experience in policy development, training delivery, or incident investigation (desirable)
