A healthcare recruitment agency is seeking a dynamic Senior Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join their Horsham team. This full-time, permanent role involves delivering expert therapy to adults with brain injuries in a neurorehabilitation environment. Total Assist Recruitment are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join the dedicated team at Horsham.
This is a rewarding full-time, permanent position offering flexible working hours within a specialist neurorehabilitation environment. You will play a leading role in delivering expert speech and language therapy to adults with acquired brain injuries, working as part of a close-knit, multidisciplinary team.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive assessments and interventions, using a neurobehavioural approach to deliver high-quality rehabilitation tailored to each individual’s needs. You will manage a complex caseload that includes individuals with cognitive, behavioural, communication and swallowing difficulties, many of whom present with challenging behaviour. Your responsibilities will include completing in-depth assessments, formulating and implementing therapy plans, delivering dysphagia care and training, and working collaboratively with staff to embed communication strategies across the service.
You will also have a leadership role in shaping and developing the service, contributing to clinical audits, governance processes, and staff training. Your professional judgement, clinical reasoning and communication skills will be central to helping individuals maximise their independence and quality of life following brain injury. The ability to engage with people in a positive, supportive and empowering way is essential to this role.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC, with post-qualification experience working with adults with neurological conditions. Dysphagia training is essential, and experience with the neurobehavioural model and within a rehabilitation setting is highly desirable. Strong report writing skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice are key, along with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
The salary for this post is between £49,630 and £56,530 per annum, depending on experience, and includes a location allowance. 38 days annual leave including bank holidays, and access to a range of excellent benefits.
