The successful candidate will be an experienced nurse preferably with oncology experience with the vision and passion to help optimise high quality patient care. As a team leader you would bring a positive attitude and foster a supportive, friendly and encouraging work environment. As a Band 6 Ward Sister/Charge Nurse it is expected that you will play an active role in the development of the team, and be willing to take on managerial duties, whilst supporting the ward manager.
Demonstrate a pleasant and approachable manner and help create and promote a good working relationship. Show professional and courteous manner whilst practicing excellent communication skills at all levels. To show respect for members of the team and endorse the ward philosophy of giving mutual support. Being aware of one's own limitations, maintain confidentiality and adherence to NMC Professional Code of Conduct.
Cooperate in own performance review by indicating learning goals and support needs. Actively seek mentorship/supervision to enable reflection and development within the role.
