Job overview

The South Glos Recovery Team South have a Specialist Recovery Practitioner role within our supportive and friendly team.

The team is based in Kingswood with a geographical area covering South Glos area, including Emerson's Green, Staple Hill, Hanham and other suburban areas around the ring road.

This is a wide geographical area with limited access to public transport, so a car is essential. The team work closely with the recovery team in South Glos North and there may some travel required across the patch.

There is the opportunity to develop your skills with new training in Structured Clinical Management and Standard Care and Discharge packages being rolled out across the South Glos Recovery teams with a very good supervision program in place to support staff. We are increasing our therapeutic offer to service users and welcome applicants who are keen to develop their skills in this area.

The role entails care coordination of a caseload of service users under secondary mental health services and the coordination and deliver of evidenced based interventions. This includes commissioning packages under the care act.

Main duties of the job

We would welcome applications from qualified clinicians with experience of working with people with acute and enduring mental health needs. If you are looking to further your community experience, we would love to hear from you.

We will consider recently qualified staff who have completed their preceptorship. Mental health community experience gained on Student Placement in year 3 will also be of interest to us.
