Job description
Overview

Bank Radiographer - Band 6
To assist in the provision of an efficient radiography service including 24 hour cover. To work as part of a professional radiography team providing a high quality diagnostic service. To maintain a sensitive and courteous approach to all patients. To develop and improve professional expertise via continuous professional development.

Responsibilities
  • To rotate through all aspects of the Imaging department at Croydon and, at times, rotate through the Imaging department at Purley Memorial Hospital and the new community diagnostic centre in New Addington.
  • To participate in the on-call and out of hours rotas.
  • The department performs in excess of 250,000 examinations per annum and has an active Clinical Governance programme.
  • Support a hard-working, friendly department and provide high quality care.
About Croydon Health Services NHS Trust

Croydon University Hospital is a large District General hospital with more than 500 beds and a newly developed 24 hour A&E department. The hospital is sited north of Croydon town centre and is easily accessible by car and public transport. Croydon is a thriving multicultural area with excellent transport to central London and to the Coast. The Trust provides hospital and community services from a number of community and specialist clinics throughout Croydon. The main hospital site is Croydon University Hospital, one of the busiest in London.

Roles and environment

The successful candidate will be expected to rotate through all aspects of the Imaging department at Croydon, and may rotate through the Imaging department at Purley Memorial Hospital and the new community diagnostic centre in New Addington. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the on-call and out of hours rotas.
