What you will do:

  • Get involved in the planning and delivery of Occupational Therapy services across County Durham and Darlington.
  • Manage a caseload of clients with highly complex needs using evidence-based and client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
  • Collaborate as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, receiving supervision from a team lead or advanced occupational therapist.
  • Conduct assessments of functional ability and establish and evaluate appropriate discharge planning.
  • Contribute to education and training for your own discipline and for other professionals, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
  • Evaluate and implement evidence-based practice, assisting in the development of clinical policies to enhance the standard of care.
  • Liaise with other department staff regarding clinical governance and day-to-day clinical issues to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
