We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse specialising as a Community Addictions Nurse in Richmond and Wandsworth, UK. With an hourly salary of £37.50, this ongoing locum position offers both full-time and part-time options.

As part of our team, you will be fundamental in delivering ongoing assessments, care planning, treatment, and support to individuals with drug and alcohol issues, promoting health, independence, and recovery. Your expertise will contribute to shaping treatment plans and ensuring a comprehensive care approach for each service user.

What you will do
  • Carry out professional duties under the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and NMC Professional Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain accountability and responsibility for a defined caseload, assessing care needs under supervision.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based care programmes in collaboration with other agencies.
  • Act as care co-ordinator, facilitating multi-disciplinary assessments of service users’ needs and promoting effective care plans.
  • Complete risk assessments and management plans, ensuring comprehensive safeguarding measures are in place.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, offering individual and group therapy with a focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
  • Deliver high-quality nursing advice and consultation to colleagues, community groups, and partner organisations.
  • Maintain service standards and participate in service performance audits, governance activities, and service development initiatives.
