We are seeking a Band 4 Locum Therapy Assistant to join our Hip Fracture Community Service at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. In this role, you will support the rehabilitation of patients recovering from hip fractures in a community setting.
As a Band 4 Locum Therapy Assistant you will assist qualified therapists in delivering rehabilitation programs to patients recovering from hip fractures. You will help patients with exercises and mobility activities, promoting independence and recovery. You will monitor and record patients' progress, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising therapist. You will provide support during therapy sessions and encourage patients to engage in their rehabilitation. You will maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control protocols. You will assist in preparing and organizing therapy materials and equipment for sessions. You will communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive care.
