Qualifications
  • Minimum of NVQ3 Customer Care/Business Administration or equivalent
  • RSA II Typing / Word Processing or equivalent
  • GCSE Grade 'C' or equivalent English Language & Maths
  • RSA III
  • Shorthand or Speedwriting
Experience
  • Demonstrable experience of working as a secretary.
  • Experience of dealing with sensitive/distressing issues
  • Experience of dealing with a range of disciplines and agencies.
  • Experience of Microsoft software packages including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Working knowledge of Data Protection Act and Information Governance
  • Experience handling petty cash.
  • Experience of organising training and events, catering, liaisons with venues
  • Previous experience of working in a health environment within a multi‑disciplinary team setting
  • Knowledge or insight of Mental Health issues
Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Minute taking skills
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • An ability to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner.
