A community health organization is seeking dedicated support for its Special School Nursing Service in Highgate. This role involves providing healthcare support to children requiring enteral feeds, ensuring high standards of care are met in collaboration with a multi-agency team. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children with complex health needs and the ability to function well in a team. Positions are fixed-term, 30 hours per week during term time, with a supportive work environment focused on integrated care.
We have three fixed-term posts available for 12 months: two posts at 30 hours per week (term time only) and one post at 21 hours per week (term time only). You will work as part of the Special School Nursing Service to provide health care support to children/young people who require enteral feeds during their school day. Enteral feeding refers to the intake of food via the gastrointestinal tract through a tube directly into the stomach or small intestine for children who are unable to have all their diet and fluids by mouth.
To work as part of a team supporting the Special School Nursing Service to deliver a high standard of care to children/young people. To contribute to safe and effective growth measurement of children/young people within the special school nursing service in line with the Healthy Child Programme. To work as part of a multi-agency team within a special school and other establishments under the direction of the Team Leader, reporting relevant information to the special school nurse. To undertake administrative duties to enable the service to function effectively.

The post is for 30 hours per week (Fixed Term 12 Months), Monday - Friday, term time, with a 30-minute unpaid break. There are three fixed-term posts: two at 30 hours per week and one at 21 hours per week, both term time only.
